"University could be a real culture shock after school, so I knew I just had to come to college first. It's a bit like university, with added lifelines like Learning Support - mentors and learning support officers to give you a lift when you need it. The teachers are brilliant. They go out of their way to understand you as a person. It's a great balance between independence and support."
"The social life is good, though I must confess we mostly spend time with people on our course. There's a good ethnic mix that works. I've had no problems at all. Facilities are brilliant too. Computers and the library are available til nine at night and you can literally find any book you want."
"My advice to anyone planning to go to Uni is to come here first. A great stepping stone."
