A learning environment...
... where everyone's welcome

People of all ages come to Northampton College to learn new skills. Everything from A Levels to Accountancy, IT, Engineering, Performing Arts, Leisure Industry Management and Hairdressing.

Enjoy student life to the full Student life is not just about studying. It’s also about making new friends, relaxing and socialising. Here at Northampton College, we have a campus environment with ‘real life’ resources that include cafeterias and its own Students’ Union – giving you every opportunity to really make the most of the facilities provided for you.

Student Union

When you join the College as a full-time student, you’ll automatically become a member of the Students’ Union. This is
an organisation designed to promote the interests and welfare of college students and its officers are elected through a democratic process (which means they’ve been voted in by other students). We have a vibrant Students’ Union, which organises many trips and events, providing you with a great
social life, and you can also take part in fundraising activities. The SU is always looking for students to help with their activities. You’ll also enjoy a wide range of benefits on
production of your Student Union card, such as reduced prices in many stores. The new look NUS Extra Card offers an even greater range of discounts and this is available from
www.nusextra.co.uk at a cost of £10.

For further information, please contact the Student Union on 01604 734 066.

Course Representatives

We believe it’s very important to listen to what our students have to say. To ensure we do this, we ask every full-time programme to elect a Course Representative. All Course
Representatives then meet with their Programme Managers and the Student Support Team, through the Listen2Learners
and other college forums, to raise any issues about college life. This provides a great opportunity for elected individuals
to represent the interests of their fellow students, and to make sure their voice is heard in the College. In addition, we also
ask students to help with the evaluation and development of their Individual Learning Programmes. The College hosts an annual conference for students where representatives get together to meet the Principal and discuss issues which
affect them. In addition, the student body has the opportunity to elect two student governors who will liaise with the Student Union and the College Management Team, representing students’ interests.

There is lots of personal freedom, a good social life and support whenever you need it.

You can also enjoy discounted hair & beauty treatments or work out in one of our multi gyms. Then again, you could chill out at one of our eating places!

Open door

We are proud to open our doors to anyone who is willing to commit to learning.

We encourage and help students with additional needs and disabilities. Our Additional Support Team offers guidance and support for anyone with health problems, disabilities, learning difficulties or issues with their reading, writing and number skills. Support for students whose first language is not English is also available.
