Additional Support Service
Taking REAL care of you
The Additional Support Team
If you have disabilities or additional needs, we want you to know you’ll be well supported by the College. Our Additional Support Team is here to offer help and guidance, whether you have health problems, learning difficulties, disabilities or problems with reading, writing or maths. If English isn’t your first language, we may also be able to provide additional language support.
To find out more or discuss your needs with the team call the Additional Support Team on 01604 734 321 or email additionalsupport@northamptoncollege.ac.uk
Information on the support you can get is also available in a booklet called ‘Support for Learning’ which is available on request or can be downloaded from the website. Contact with your parents If you’re under 19 at the start of your course, we’ll need to keep your parents/ carers informed about your progress and attendance at the College. We’ll send a written report home twice a year and ask your parents/carers to attend a Parents’ and Carers’ Evening.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
We’re committed to ensuring that disabled people with learning difficulties and disabilities are treated fairly. We’ll make all reasonable adjustments to our provision, ensuring that learners with disabilities are not disadvantaged on our sites. We operate a scheme that gives details of the help and support available to learners with disabilities, and this statement is regularly reviewed and updated.
