The College environment
There are over 600 full and part-time people on our staff - teaching and non-teaching - and around 300 ‘visiting lecturers’. They support more than 13,000 students.
The main site at Booth Lane in Northampton is a purpose-built group of facilities. We have another bespoke-built learning facility for adults at Lower Mounts in the town centre and have a site in Daventry, which includes a dedicated Sixth Form Centre.
The College is changing...
The College has long term plans for all three of its sites...
Booth Lane and Lower Mounts
The College has been successful in securing approval, in principle, from the Learning & Skills Council to bring forward a transformation of the College's two sites in Northampton, costing over £70 million. Plans include:
- Total demolition and rebuild at Booth Lane site, with new buildings designed by award winning architects Pick Everard
- Additional building for the site at Lower Mounts in the Town Centre
Daventry
The College also has major plans for its site in Daventry which will be moved to the new 'Learning Quarter’ – an iconic and modern building close to the town centre which will house all post-16 education.
