skills centreMaths, English and ICT skills are so important to employers. If you're looking for a job or hoping for promotion at work, we can help you brush up your skills and sharpen up your CV.

Good literacy and numeracy can help you at home too. You'll be able to manage your household bills better, keep in touch with family and friends, and unlock new opportunities and interests.

It doesn't matter if you have been out of education for some time; many of our students are returning to learning or even starting for the first time.

Whether you're an absolute beginner or want to improve your skills, we can advise you on where to start.

Maths and English

Maths and English classes are run at various times of the day and evening from Monday to Friday and you can join throughout the year. You will be working with other students at a similar level. Maths and English courses are free to most adults.

ICT Skills

You can also learn ICT Skills at The Skills Centre NC. If you're really new to ICT, you could come along to one of our intro courses which are held twice a week. After that, you can arrange to attend sessions at times to suit yourself. The centre is open all year round.

Where do I start?

When you first come in, we will talk to you about what you want to achieve and assess the level you should start from, taking into account whether or not you have used a computer before, as well as your current level of ability in spoken and written English.

Just give us a call on 0300 123 2344 or drop in to The Skills Centre NC in Daventry or at Lower Mounts in Northampton and we'll arrange for you to meet a tutor.
