Chamber launches 100 in 100 Apprenticeship challenge

The Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce has challenged businesses in the County to get more people into work by creating 100 Apprenticeship opportunities in the next 100 days.

The Chamber, in partnership with the National Apprenticeship Service in the East Midlands, has launched an exciting new initiative called “100 in 100”, which aims to create more employment opportunities and highlight the benefits of Apprenticeships to businesses, young people and the wider community.

The two organisations are appealing to companies large and small to sign up to take on new apprentices, which will help combat unemployment and provide businesses with a self-trained workforce for the future.

The campaign will focus on getting 100 businesses across Northamptonshire to commit to creating an Apprenticeship opportunity during the next 100 days.

The business case for taking on an apprentice is compelling. As well as receiving government funding, Apprenticeships can help businesses across all sectors by offering a route to harness fresh new talent. Apprenticeships are a great way of ensuring that the workforce has the practical skills and qualifications needed by business, both now and in the future.
