Good business administration is an essential requirement common to all industries and sectors, both public and private. The Certificate in Business Administration is ideal for anyone who carries out administration duties. As well as completing a nationally recognised qualification they will acquire the practical skills your company needs by working alongside their colleagues.

How is the course assessed?
The Diploma is evaluated through a series of practical assessments, and a portfolio of work with 20% off the job You will attend a workshop once a month at Booth Lane College. Functional Skills are assessed through exams where appropriate. The programme is primarily delivered at the candidate's place of work with some attendance at the College. Average duration is 18 months.
Who is this course for?
You must be employed in a supervisory position with a business administration role. Apprentices will gain practical skills and qualifications that your business needs both now and in the future. With a mixture of on and off the job training they will learn the skills that will work best for your business. Apprenticeships can make your business more productive and effective by addressing your skills gaps.

Entry Requirements for new students
|Entry and Foundation:||GCSEs, mainly 2-1 (F/G) grades. Satisfactory school reference*|
|Level 1:||Four GCSEs at grade 2 (E) or above|
|Level 2:||Four GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above|
|Level 3 BTEC Courses or equivalent:||Four GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C)|
|Level 3 A Levels:||Five GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C)|
|Level 4/5:||A Level 3 qualification such as: A Levels, BTEC Level 3, Access to HE, Advanced Apprenticeship|
|Specific Course Requirements:||Standard Level 1 entry requirements and achieve 50% or higher in your BKSB diagnostics at Level 2 in English and Mathematics.|
*All applicants will be invited in for interview.
Equivalent qualifications will be considered except where English has been studies as a second language and is required at GCSE grade 9-4 (A*-C).
In exceptional circumstances, applications which do not meet the formal entry criteria may be considered on an individual basis.
Be prepared to sit English and maths assessments.
