Religious Studies - AS/A2 Level

Five GCSEs at Grades A* - C including English Language.

Course Content

This course will provide you with a good grounding in key philosophical concepts, themes, texts and techniques. Units include Philosophy of Religion, Religion and Contemporary Society and Religious Fundamentalism. You’ll develop your abilities to analyse philosophical writings and contribute towards the process of debate. You’ll also gain a set of transferable skills that can be applied successfully to other subjects and arguments you encounter in your everyday life. Beliefs about the nature of existence, morality, politics and the existence of God will be discussed and challenged, and you should be prepared to evaluate and re-consider your own beliefs on many fundamental issues.
