Entry Requirements
If you’re working at Entry Levels 2 or above or a transitional course, Next Steps is for you.
Although there is no formal entry requirement, your level of education must be at Entry Level 2 or above and you must be willing to take part in new learning opportunities and to improve your literacy, numeracy and social skills. You also need to be committed to furthering your education.
Course Content
This course is designed to develop your academic and work skills so that you can progress on to Foundation Learning or into work. You will study Literacy, Numeracy and IT and can choose from a variety of vocational options.
You will be taught in small groups, with class support, and your progress will be monitored regularly in tutorial sessions. Your individual needs will be assessed at the initial interview, and if necessary, additional support will be arranged to help you achieve your learning goals.
You’ll work towards a recognised Entry Level 3 qualification.
Next Step
You may be able to progress to a Level 1 course, work-based training or employment.
