We offer HNDs in Photography, Media, Theatre, Music and various Business combinations depending on your interest.

HND/Fda in Business/Finance/HR Management/Marketing

Entry Requirements

All applications are handled by The University of Northampton through the UCAS system. To be accepted on a programme, you’ll need points equivalent to an A Level Grade E or above, or a Pass at BTEC National level or equivalent. For Interactive Digital Media, Practical Journalism and Theatre HNDs, you’ll need a GCSE at Grade C or above in English. Minimum age on entry is 18.

Course Content

The courses listed above share the same portfolio of modules, facilitating flexible study and blended learning. Should you decide to work towards the Foundation Degree, you’ll be required to take work based learning units. A sound theoretical base underpins all the courses, with an emphasis on taking a practical approach towards solving a variety of business problems. Stage one
covers the key aspects of business, with the opportunity to specialise at Stage 2 in Finance, Marketing, or Human Resource
Management. Assignments and activities are designed to simulate real world situations. As such, the Higher National
Diploma provides a wide variety of skills required by modern businesses.

Next Step

These courses are designed to give you the skills for a particular field of work, and can lead directly into employment in your chosen vocation. Should you wish to continue learning, you could progress to a related degree with ‘top-up’ study, which generally allows you to enter the second or third year of a degree programme. This option gives you the best of both worlds: an HND/FdA and a degree. Alternatively, you may choose to seek further specialist training courses within your chosen industry sector.
