Entry Requirements
Four GCSEs at Grade D or above including English and Maths or appropriate Level 1 qualification.
Course Content
This course will give you an understanding of the health and education needs of children, including the Early Years Foundation Stage for three to five year olds, and how to provide appropriate activities. You’ll spend two days a week in a work placement, building up a Personal Placement Record. GCSE Maths or English and/or Functional Skills may also be studied as part of this course.
Next Step
If you achieve a Pass and C grade or above in GCSE English you can progress to the Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce, or alternatively seek employment as a nursery assistant with training.
