Four GCSEs at Grade D or above including a science.
Course Content
• BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Applied Science
• Resitting Mathematics and/or English GCSE if you don’t already have Grade C
• Improving your Basic Skills in IT.
The BTEC qualification is a practical, work-related course aimed at introducing you to the employment area you’ve chosen and providing a good basis for progressing to a more advanced work-related qualification. You’ll learn by completing projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.
Next Step
You can progress to some A Level science subjects (if you achieve a Distinction or higher), or take a vocational qualification, such as a BTEC Level 3 in Applied Science, Beauty Therapy or related Apprenticeship programme.
