Performing Arts
If you’re interested in the Performing Arts, Acting, Dance or Theatre, we offer a whole range of exciting courses, giving you a real opportunity to follow your dreams.
Our diverse range of Performing Arts courses encompasses theatre, dance and musical theatre at all levels – from Foundation Level qualifications to Level 2, Level 3, and HNDs at Level 4.
Programmes contain a large practical element and are mainly assessed through assignment work. Performance plays a large part in our learning programmes, with opportunities to perform in college and outside at a variety of venues. You’ll have the opportunity to visit theatre and concert venues to see a range of professional work and take part in workshops with professional companies.
Students have participated in major productions at local professional venues, touring the County’s schools, performing in cabaret, outdoor theatre, community centres, concerts and contemporary dance events, as well as an extensive programme of dance, music and theatre in our own college venues.
Careers advice about further study opportunities at other colleges, dance, drama and music schools and universities is available and our record of progression is excellent, with alumni attending a range of universities and specialist colleges. We have an established reputation for excellence in this area of work and hope to work with you to build on this in the future.
Our specialist resources include:
• Studio theatres with full lighting rigs, sound equipment and lighting control boxes
• Dance studios with fully sprung floors
• Rehearsal studios.
