Science
Most jobs in the near future will involve applications of science and technology. Science is behind most of the creativity and innovation which we see all around us, from breakthroughs in medicine to mobile phone applications.
Biochemist, entomologist, forensic scientist, geneticist and even inventor are all career roles that require a good grounding in science, and the College is proud of the support and facilities it can offer students in this subject.
Teaching at the College puts a real emphasis on practical, work-related activities
You can progress from the Science programme directly to employment or on to university. Whichever route you choose, you’ll benefit from exploring and debating a range of significant scientific theories. Many of the Science programme’s projects involve fieldwork and, on the Level 3 programme, you’ll have the opportunity of spending up to five days on a residential course.
Our specialist resources include:
• Fully-equipped science laboratories
• Computer facilities
• Access to college Libraries
• Access to college computer laboratories.
Enrichment programme
As well as the main academic programme, you'll also be expected to take part in the College Enrichment Programme, which offers a wide range of activities such as sign language, sports, drumming, driving test theory and many more.
