Summary of course

The role of an Assessor can be diverse and, as such, there are various options available to prove competence within an assessment process. Your precise requirements should be discussed. The units for this course are:

Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

This unit assesses the student's underpinning knowledge of the important principles and practices used within assessment.

Delivered via an interactive workshop (if appropriate) and on-going one to one assessment using an electronic portfolio with a qualified Northampton College Assessor.

How is the course assessed?

Students will complete a portfolio of evidence.

Who is this course for?

A knowledge-only Award for those who are starting their journey as an assessor, or for those who need to know about assessment practice but who are not currently practicing e.g. a starting point for aspiring assessors or a professional development qualification for managers, HR or quality assurance personnel.

Although there are no formal entry requirements for this course you must speak with one of our Business Centre advisors before enrolling onto this course.
