The role of an IQA is to ensure the quality of the assessment process. Your precise requirements should be discussed. The units for this course are:
- Unit 1 - Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment.
This unit ensures that the student has the necessary knowledge and understanding required for internal quality assurance of assessment
- Unit 2 - Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment.

For practitioners who conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process from within a centre or organisation, by sample planning, monitoring and advising on the practice of assessors.
Delivered via interactive workshops (if appropriate) and on-going one to one assessment with a qualified Northampton College Assessor.
How is the course assessed?
Students will complete a portfolio of evidence.

The Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance Processes and Practice is ideal for those who are required to internally verify the assessment process.
Entry Requirements for new students
There are no formal entry requirements; however, you need to be working within an environment where assessment occurs. You will require access to a mimimum of two assessors to quality assure.
