Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Career Information and Advice

Summary of course

Career Information and Advice Level 4 is aimed at those studying in preparation for employment within the career guidance sector who are wishing to undertake professional development and those wishing to gain a Level 4 qualification to support further study in Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) in the career guidance sector.

Programme Structure: The course requires you to achieve a total of 45 credits.

  • Mandatory units - 30 credits from 5 units in Group A
  • Optional units - 15 credits (minimum) from Group B

How is the course assessed?

This programme can be assessed through some works shops, then on a one to one basis with an assessor involving practical assessments and producing a portfolio of work.

This programme is designed to acknowledge the experience of those within the career information and advice sector and to offer further development in this field. This course is for those who give career information and advice to clients who are looking for jobs, apprenticeships or a career path.

Entry Requirements for new students

Candidates must be working in the Career Guidance sector.
