We are very proud of our nursey and want children to be happy and confident so that they may develop an enduring love of learning. The Northampton College Day Nursery is a warm, friendly and spacious environment for your child to explore while being safe and secure.
We recognise that every child is unique, inquisitive, resourceful, energetic, open minded, creative, imaginative and extraordinary.
This is reflected by the fact that we are Ofsted approved and received a 'Good’ rating in all areas of our inspection.
‘Children develop secure foundations in their learning and development in readiness for school’ Ofsted
We offer activities and play to strengthen and expand children’s learning and development within the early learning areas:
• Personal, social and emotional development
• Communication and language
• Physical development
• Understanding the world
• Expressive arts and design.
We offer both indoor and outdoor play areas for children to learn and play in.
In our large enclosed garden, children can keep active with the use of bikes, scooters and a climbing frame with a slide. Indoors, children can explore our extensive collection of books or have a story read to them, be creative in the messy room, or imaginative with role play in the ‘home corner’.
Other activities include weekly ‘Rhyme Time’ and ‘Story Time’ with our colleagues from the College library.
The nursery is open during term time only.

A word from our Nursery Supervisor, Jackie -
“I have three children, two grandchildren and I have worked in childcare for over 25 years. I started as a helper in my son’s playgroup and continued progressing and training within this field. I have a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Childcare and have been working at the College for nine years. I regularly update my training to provide the best care for your child. This training includes Paediatric First, Basic Food Hygiene and Safeguarding.”
