Welcome to The Lane Restaurant, where talented hospitality and catering students bring their skills to life in a real restaurant environment.

Every service is an opportunity for them to apply what they have learned, develop their confidence and create delicious dishes for our guests.

Each menu is thoughtfully prepared and served by students working under the expert guidance of our professional chef-lecturers and technicians. By dining with us, you are not only enjoying freshly prepared food, but also supporting the next generation of chefs and hospitality professionals as they gain invaluable industry experience.

Our hospitality and catering department has earned an outstanding reputation for developing future talent. Students regularly achieve success in prestigious competitions including WorldSkills UK, the Electrolux Student Chef of the Year and the Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards.

Many of our graduates have gone on to enjoy exciting careers with leading employers, including renowned London hotels such as The Dorchester, The Savoy and Claridge's, as well as outstanding local venues including Delapre Abbey, Whittlebury Hall and Fawsley Hall.

My friend and I came for lunch and really enjoyed it. The staff were knowledgeable about allergens and were happy to double check a couple of things for us. The restaurant itself was fairly small, but full of people having Christmas lunches. The food was nicely presented and everything was beautifully cooked and very tasty. The young lady serving at my table was polite and helpful.

Visited The Lane restaurant for lunch today with my two sisters. We were taken very good care of from the moment we arrived and were seated at our table. The young staff were friendly and attentive, clearly trying to learn their craft and apply it. The food arrived in a timely fashion, it was tasty and there was plenty of it. We all thought it represented very good value. Word needs to get out about how good this place is. Thank you to all the staff.
