Business is once again booming in Northamptonshire, with a glittering ceremony set to reward the county’s leading lights.

The launch of the 2018 SME Northamptonshire Business Awards will take place at Northampton College on Tuesday, 24 April – giving the county’s brightest business brains the chance to network and kickstart the process of crowning our champions of commerce.

The awards will celebrate the hard-working, innovative and enterprising businesses across Northamptonshire.

Pat Brennan-Barrett, principal of Northampton College, said: “We are delighted to be staging the launch event for these awards. SMEs vitally important to college life, giving our learners the chance to secure jobs, apprenticeships and placements with local employers.

“Northamptonshire is a great place to do business and a successful business community can only be good news for our students. It means there are more opportunities out there for them and it allows us to produce a tailor-made workforce of the future for key industries in the local area.

“By working closely with local employers we can better understand their needs, identify the skills they require and ensure our students are ready to hit the ground running when they make that transition from classroom to workplace.”

Northampton College is a platinum sponsor of the awards. The awards launch will take place at 11am on Tuesday, 24 April at Northampton College’s Booth Lane campus.
