Time to re-train or learn a new skill?

Northampton College has just launched its new part-time directory which is jam-packed with courses aimed at boosting your career prospects and employability or simply learning a new skill.

Northampton College has just launched its new part-time directory which is jam-packed with courses aimed at boosting your career prospects and employability or simply learning a new skill.

Whether you work already, are looking to boost your employment prospects or simply want to try something new, there is a part-time course for everyone, offered at a range of times and locations.

Maths and English skills are essential for many careers these days and these qualifications are increasingly in demand by employers. Northampton College provides a welcoming environment for adults looking to gain GSCEs in these subjects as well as Science.

If you are looking for a more vocational subject then there are also courses in Hair and Beauty, Complimentary Therapy, Automotive Engineering or Catering to name but a few.

Our part-time foreign language courses are designed mainly for fun and you can learn about a different country and its culture, acquiring a few phrases along the way to make you feel welcome on your holidays.

If you are looking to broaden your horizons or enjoy a new hobby there is also a wealth of creative courses to choose from including ceramics, tap dancing, millinery and even how to build your own website.

With courses available at all three of the newly designed College sites at Lower Mounts, Daventry and Booth Lane there has never been a better time to express your creativity and enrol on a part-time course.

Childcare facilities are also available at all three sites including full day care and an after school club at Daventry and there are also distance learning options on offer.

Christobella Munro has just completed a part-time course in Hair Cutting Techniques at Northampton College, “I decided that I wanted a total change in career and took the plunge to do something I have always wanted to do. Studying part-time gave me the freedom and opportunity to try something new which fitted around my current lifestyle.”

So, if you are looking to jump start your career or get some new skills why not come along to one of our open days where you will be able to see first-hand the fantastic new facilities and courses on offer and speak directly to our tutors.
