tom harbottleStraight As in English language and literature have helped set Christopher Griffin on the path to study criminology and social policy at Nottingham University.

The impressive AS Level grades, boosted by a C in History, have given the 17-year-old the confidence to complete his studies at Northampton College next year before hopefully heading off to University.

He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed College life and I’ve found it a much more rewarding way of learning. I wanted to study in a more diverse community and I have thrived on the extra independence and academic freedom, where the onus is on you to put the work in yourself rather than being spoon-fed by staff.

“My grades, particularly in History, are better than I could have ever expected and I’m absolutely delighted.”
