I am a qualified accountant who spent the first half of his career working in various finance roles across a range of industries including electricity supply, travel, banking and insurance.
After completing an MBA at Warwick Business School I joined the Corporate Development department of what was then Abbey National (now part of Santander UK) and subsequently moved into risk management.
I worked at Lloyds Banking Group for twelve years in a number of “Director” level financial risk management and regulatory change roles.
I have lived in Northampton for the last eleven years.
Pat has 25 years of senior leadership experience in education with a wide portfolio including schools and colleges . She has expertise in : Quality, change management, finance, resource management, performance management, project management, estates development, data and statistical analysis, funding, education reform and change management.
She has extensive knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment, with a specialism in SpLD. She can evidence successful delivery of large complex projects including: financial turn around, successful Ofsted IQER and QAA outcomes with commendations. A good communicator and motivator who has excellent people skills.
Pat has led cultural change across large colleges resulting in improved outcomes and financial stability. She is passionate about education believing that all people should be given the opportunity to reach their potential. She is a member of the AoC National 14-19 Portfolio Group, the SEND Portfolio Group as well as the regional lead for the East Midlands. She sits on the Northampton Employment and Skills Board. She is a member of The Professional Association of Teachers for Students with Specific Learning Difficulties.
