As a result of the latest Government advice, the College will be closed after classes on Friday 20 March 2020 until further notice.

This is for all students except those categorised as a vulnerable group.

For those families that are entitled to a free school meal, there will be meals or vouchers available to you in some form. Further details will be announced in due course.

Throughout this period of enforced closure, we will be doing all we can to ensure our students have access to all the resources they need to continue with their study programme. Students are expected to work at home following their normal timetable through Moodle/Google Classroom or other web-based solutions. Teachers will remain in regular contact with students.

We urge students to understand that continuing to study at home during our closure places them in the best possible position to continue with their education when they return to college. We have been advised that formal exams will cease. It is likely that students’ course work and assessment will count towards their final grade.

This is an unprecedented situation and one that is changing rapidly. We appreciate the disruption this has on staff, students and parents and we appreciate your continued understanding throughout this period. The Northampton College community is strong and, by working closely together, we will make sure any disruption is kept to an absolute minimum.

We will be keeping in touch with you all on an ongoing basis by text and email. We would like to thank you for your support in helping us to safeguard the good health of our students and all the members of our college community.

Please see our dedicated FAQ page, which will be updated regularly.
