Summary of course
This Level 3 course will teach you high level skills to prepare you for employment specialising in plumbing, heating, water and sanitation systems. The units listed below will help you to begin, or continue, your journey towards employment within the industry. If you have studied at L2 the skills you have learned will be developed. You will also develop your awareness of the careers and opportunities available to you.

Your Study Programme
If you are aged 16-18, you will join a Study Programme. We will make sure you are working at the right level on your core qualification and are challenged to achieve the highest level of qualification you can. All students will continue to improve their maths and English and if you dont have a grade C (4) at GCSE, we will work with you towards achieving that goal. Work experience will be part of your study programme and complement your college study and prepare you for employment. You will also get involved in activities to help you develop life skills and to build your confidence so you can make progress in your career. Weekly timetables will include tutorial support which may comprise of full group activities or one to one sessions to discuss individual progress or support needs.
Who is this course for?
This course is ideal if you have an interest in plumbing and heating and wish to gain a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating.

Entry Requirements for new students
Entry requirements for new students - 4 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 (A*-C) including Mathematics. It will be a requirement to have a Level 2 Plumbing qualification to progress on to this Level 3 qualification. All applicants will be invited for interview. Equivalent qualifications will be considered.
You must bring your interview letter to your appointment and arrive 15 minutes before your interview is due to take place. Be prepared to talk about what interests you about learning about and working within the field of Plumbing, Heating, Water systems and Sanitation.
General Info (materials required for the course)
Students are expected to come to College every day with a scientific calculator, ruler, pens, pencils, coloured pencils, paper and a folder for the classroom. For the workshop there is a mandatory requirement that you have personal protective equipment such as eye protection, overalls and safety boots. We will provide you with a list before you join the course. You may be able to apply to the College Bursary Fund for help with paying for these items.
