dancersDance students from Northampton College will be showing off their moves having secured places at some of the country’s leading stage schools.

Kane Walcott and Cassie Dorrofield will be heading to London Studios Centre to study a BA (Hons) degree in Theatre Dance, while Kymara Williams has secured a place at the prestigious Bird College to study a Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre.

The Level 3 students have worked tirelessly over the past year to earn their place, fending off strong competition from across the country to secure their spot.

Six other students will go on to study degree courses at university while a further six will stay on at Northampton College to progress onto a new HND dance course starting this September.

Tracey Stanton, Level 3 Dance Course Leader at Northampton College, said: “This year has been a particularly strong group. The students have worked incredibly hard and it’s fantastic to see that dedication rewarded.

“They will now have the chance to push on and really make a name for themselves in the industry. I look forward to watching them perform in years to come knowing that their journey to the top started right here in Northampton.”
