Having established themselves as one of the brightest new businesses in Northamptonshire, Orange Juice teamed up with Northampton College to offer work experience placements to ambitious business and marketing students.
A growing business, Orange Juice was keen to build a pipeline of potential new recruits as it begins to look at creating its future workforce. By teaming up with Northampton College, students were given the chance to see at first hand how the skills they picked up in the classroom would be put into practice in the workplace, getting ‘real-world’ experience of a potential future career.
Students have been able to try their hand at writing press releases, scheduling social media content, compiling email newsletters and producing website copy, as well as gaining an invaluable insight into the workings of a small but successful local business.
Director Daniel Owens said: “As a company we are growing and we know that we need to ensure there’s a go-to place to recruit future staff. Getting the right people is essential to growing a successful team and we want to build strong, long-lasting relationship with potential recruits.
“Establishing a partnership with Northampton College makes total sense as the students get a chance to experience the world of work and we benefit from ambitious local people who know the area and have an appetite for success, just like us.
“We make a point of getting the students involved straight away, they work with us and learn how to do things for themselves in the future. Hopefully we can unearth a few gems who can help the company grow even further in years to come.”
