"The majority of my secondary education was very rough, it felt like a big depression hanging over me. I was expecting that the end of my GCSEs would see all those bad things would go away and it would be a fresh start but just a few weeks into my A Levels I had some family issues, school wasn’t great and the work was piling up, I needed to make a change.
"I decided to take things into my own hands and make a change for the better. I found a friend of mine was doing the engineering course at college so switched and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done.
It’s been good for me physically and mentally, the impact it’s had on me has been indescribable. I spent years feeling drained, I’d be down at nights worrying about things but that doesn’t happen now. It’s been exciting, it’s been a fresh start and I can feel the progress I am making."
