Bus passes

We offer Stagecoach bus passes so you can save money on fares. The Stagecoach bus number 16 travels every ten minutes from the bus station in Northampton to Booth Lane (the bus stop is in St Gregory’s Road).

Bus passes issued by the College can be used every day at any time, including half term (this excludes full terms – Easter, Summer and Christmas.)

If you would like to buy a bus pass, please drop in to Student Services to complete an application form. You can pay with a debit card, credit card or with cash. Unfortunately, we don’t accept cheques. Please note that bus passes can only be purchased termly and not yearly.

You may be eligible for help with the cost of a bus pass through the bursary if you live:

  • In a household in receipt of income-based benefits
  • In a household with an income of less than £26,000
  • More than three miles from the College.

For more information on the bursary, please click here.

  • Will be aged under 19 on 31 August 2019

Travelling by car

You are welcome to travel to college by car. There are plenty of parking spaces at our Booth Lane and Daventry campuses.

At Lower Mounts, we run a scheme in partnership with the neighbouring NCP car park (St Michael’s). For a £10 returnable deposit, we can give you a parking card. Using this card, you’ll only pay £1 per day to use the car park at St Michael’s. When you first take out the card, you’ll need to purchase a minimum of £5 credit for the first five days’ of parking. After that, you can top it up as you need. For further details, speak to the Student Services team at Lower Mounts. For more information on Lower Mounts view our getting here guide.

Travelling on foot or by bicycle

We have plenty of cycle points at all our locations so cycling to college couldn’t be easier. There is a secure cycle/motorcycle area at Booth Lane which you can access using your student card once it has been validated by the Estates team.

If you live close by, you may even prefer to walk and get some exercise at the same time!
