You will automatically become a member of the Northampton College Students’ Union (NCSU) when you join us. NCSU is run on democratic lines by students for students. It is committed to serving and representing the views of students. Any student may stand for election as an officer of the Union in the following posts:

  • President
  • Student Governor
  • Events Officer
  • Liberation Officer
  • PR Officer.

Each post has its own set of responsibilities but they all represent college students, organise events and run campaigns. NCSU has its own office at Booth Lane (G2.08) where you can pop in and talk to the Union’s officers about any issues you’d like to raise. To find out more vist the NCSU facebook page.

National Union of Students

NCSU works alongside the National Union of Students (NUS) in the interests of students at Northampton College. The NUS represents over 7 million students within over 600 Students’ Unions across the country. See the NUS website to find out more.

Students at Northampton College are eligible to buy an TOTUM card for £12 that saves you money by giving you discounts on over 140 brands. To buy the card and find out about savings, visit NUS Extra.

Student Governors

There are two Student Governor posts, one dedicated Student Governor role and the President of the Students’ Union. They join the Board of Governors, representing the College at Corporation level.
