This is a one day course comprising both theory and practical elements.

Students will be observed working on each other throughout the day. In line with Northampton College's policy on Equal Opportunities, the class may be of mixed gender.

All students must visit The Salon NC to be patch tested with the tint to be used at least twenty four hours before the course.

  • What will I study?

    The units you are likely to study include:

    • Definition Brow techniques; shaping using thread and wax and tinting of the brows including relevant anatomy and physiology
    • Health and safety procedures
    • Appropriate legislation
  • Who is this course for?

    This course is ideal for you if you have an interst in eyebrow treatments and wish to gain skills in Definition Brows.

    • how to perform advanced consultations for advanced manual and technical therapies to design bespoke treatment plans
    • how to develop and maintain salon procedures to safely control Work operations
    • The organisation of The body and The structure and functions of cells, tissues, organs and systems.

  • General info

    A letter will be sent to each student a week before the course explaining rooming and tutor for the day along with other relevant information.

    You will be required to bring with you pens, notebook, headband, tinting dish, small brush and tweezers.

    You will be given a workbook to assist you with your qualification to work through.

    Uniform to be worn.

  • Entry Requirements for new students

    Completion of a recognised eye treatment qualification is needed e.g. City and Guilds or working towards a full Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification.

    You should be well groomed, motivated and be able to communicate at all levels. You should be dexterous and well-coordinated.
