We offer many different options for payment of tuition fees – both for students looking to pay their own fees, as well as payments from a third party.
As the student you are personally liable for the full tuition fee upon enrolment, other than the extent that the Student Loans Company or other recognised sponsor might pay the fee. It is your responsibility to ensure that full payment is received for your programme, even if it is being met by a third party.
As part of the enrolment process you will be asked to sign a learning agreement. Please read this document carefully and sign and date the College copy. You should retain the student copy for your records; this forms part of your contract with the College and confirms the amount of tuition fee you will be charged for that academic year based on the course you are registered on.

In person at College
Northampton College is now cashless - therefore payments in person can only be made by debit/credit card.
By telephone
You can make credit or debit card payments by phoning our 'Finance Office'. To use this service, please call 01604 734358 or 01604 734203 during office hours.
By BACS
Please quote your student ID number from your college badge as your payment reference.

Direct Debit
The College offers the flexibility to make payment of your tuition fees in instalments by Direct Debit. To be eligible to pay by instalments, you must have a UK bank account that accepts Direct Debits. If you are unsure of the type of account you have, please check with your bank or building society.
We offer a monthly plan:
- If the course is one term (9-10 weeks) you must pay over three months.
- If the course is two or more terms (20 weeks+) you can pay over ten months.
If you would like to pay by Direct Debit, please complete and return the original copy of the Direct Debit mandate form. Please return the form via the email address quoted on the form.
Please ensure you tick to select either the one or two terms+ course, remembering that you can only pay over ten months if your course is two terms or longer.

My employer is paying my fees
If your employer is paying for your course, please ask them to complete and return the Direct Debit mandate form. Alongside the Direct Debit mandate form, employers and sponsors must complete an additional form, pdf which is available on our Document Hub .
Both forms must be printed out, signed in pen and handed in directly to the College at the time of enrolment.
We also offer a monthly plan for employers:
If the student’s course is one term (9-10 weeks) or the (non-levy) employer is contributing 10% towards to the cost of an Apprenticeship, payment can be made over three months.
If the student’s course is two or more terms (20 weeks+) payment can be made over ten months.
Student Finance England is paying my fees
