Bleary-eyed and not quite sure what to expect, the crew of Level 1 Engineering students and staff set off from Northampton College at 6.45am on Sunday to travel to Ashby de la Zouche where we were competing in the annual Soapbox Derby.

It’s hard to believe how much my life has changed since joining KAB seating in November 2022. Back then, I didn’t even know what welding was! I’m now a KAB-qualified welder with my EPA coming up in March and here’s a little about what I’ve learnt so far.

Your social media feeds will be full of reminders to call your family, check-in on your friends and, finally, to take care of yourself. While the week itself doesn’t come around until May, I really believe you should remain aware of your mental health every week.
