This 60-hour Skills Bootcamp in Pre-employment Scaffolding is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, practical skills, and industry awareness needed to begin a career in the scaffolding sector. Delivered in partnership with Northampton College and SIMIAN (the lead provider), the programme sector-specific training, employability and behavioural skills development, and career progression support. Learners gain an understanding of scaffolding principles, health and safety requirements, and workplace expectations while preparing for interviews and employment opportunities within the construction industry. The programme aims to support learners into sustainable employment, apprenticeships, or career progression opportunities.

This programme is delivered through daytime college sessions at our Booth Lane campus in Northampton, running for two weeks from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm each day.

  • Who is this course for?

    If you?re aged 19 or over and have the right to study in England, you?re likely to be eligible for this Skills Bootcamp.

    You should have an interest in working in the construction industry and be ready to take an active role in your learning throughout the programme.

    If you?re motivated to develop practical skills and take the first step towards a career in construction, this course could be the right fit for you.

    PPE, tools and equipment will be provided for you. Please bring a pen, pencil and notebook with you on the first day.
