School of the Arts on 29 September 2017

There’s plenty of commotion coming from the drama studio this week as our second year Level 3 Acting students are busy rehearsing for their first performance of the year.

SOLO is the name of the performance, which will be taking place at 6.30pm on Thursday, 5th October at our Northampton College drama theatre.

Don’t miss this showcase of acting talent. This show is a collection of two-minute long monologues, all solos taken from classic or contemporary plays. Each have been handpicked by our students during their first four weeks of term.

Our Performing Arts tutors passionately believe that this is great preparation for drama school, the primary destination for acting students, and will give students a head start with the audition process.

SOLO will display a wide variety of talent. There will be 28 students performing a monologue each, with the show linking between each solo performance.

Students have been encouraged to choose contrasting styles and tones of performance to make for a diverse showcase of acting ability.

Tickets, priced £3, are available on the door and the theatre is open to all staff, students and the general public. We look forward to seeing you there.
