A former Northampton College catering student has been invited back to work in the kitchens of an award-winning Michelin-starred restaurant owned by celebrity chef Raymond Blanc.

Josie Milicevic will return to Le Manoir Aux Quatre Saisons in Oxfordshire this August to work in the highly skilled patisserie section as she looks to develop her skills and gain new ideas for her own cake-making company.

The 22-year-old originally spent a month-long period working at Le Manoir in 2019 as part of her prize for winning the Catering Student of the Year category at the college awards.

She said: “I can’t wait to go back. It will be so inspiring to see how the patisserie section works and I’m looking forward to finding out about different flavour combinations and techniques.

“My cake business is going really well so I want to keep building that and one day I’d love to open my own shop in Towcester.”

Josie produces up to 15 celebration cakes a week and dozens of smaller sweet treats from a purpose-built kitchen in a converted annex at her family home. She can also be found manning stalls at monthly classic car meets in Earls Barton and Towcester plus has a weekly pitch at Olney market.
