How can I access support with my learning?
When you apply for a course at Northampton College, we will ask if you have any learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
As part of the application process, we have built in several questions which provide you with the opportunity to tell us what support you have had in the past. This will allow you to let us know about the support you feel that you will require, and will help us ensure, that if needed, you will receive the most appropriate support whilst at college, in the workplace or on trips. If necessary, we will invite you to a meeting with our specialist support team to discuss your needs. This may be face to face, over the phone or online.
If you start your course and find that you are struggling, your teachers will be able to refer you for support after you have joined us too.
If you have an Education Health & Care Plan, you must ask the Local Authority to send us your information and start a consultation with Northampton College.

I didn't achieve my maths and English GCSEs at school. Do you offer additional support for this at college?
All full-time students that have not achieved a Grade 4, or above in maths and/or English will be required to study these subjects as part of their overall education programme.
