Once you have joined our team, you will be expected to update your skills regularly and keep abreast of developments in the continuously evolving world of education.
We support staff in their continuous professional development by enabling time and resource to engage in training; by engaging with colleagues across the College and the sector and sharing best practice in teaching and learning; by promoting scholarly activity that enables individuals to learn flexibly, and by providing essential training in mandatory areas relating to the law and statutory issues.
We measure the impact of professional development and promote activities that make a positive difference to students.
We support our staff so that they have the professional skills they need and are equipped to do the job. All teaching staff work towards a Certificate in Education if they are not previously qualified. We also offer a bursary of £1,000 towards the cost of a relevant Master’s degree.
New ideas for useful Continuing Professional Development (CPD) are always welcome.
