We support our staff to build on and develop their skills so that they can effectively use the knowledge they have gained in their careers to provide the best teaching to our students.
Once you have joined our team, you will be expected to update your skills regularly and stay in the know with the continuously evolving world of education. Alongside any teaching or assessing qualifications you may need, we support staff in their continuous professional development by enabling time and resource to engage in training.
We measure the impact of professional development and promote activities that make a positive difference to students, including:
- Engaging with colleagues across the College/education sector to share best practice in teaching and learning
- Promoting scholarly activity that enables individuals to learn flexibly,
- Providing essential training in mandatory areas relating to the law and statutory issues.
New ideas for useful Continuing Professional Development (CPD) are always welcome.
