Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
The LGPS is a career-average pension scheme with benefits payable on 1/49th of pensionable pay. The employee contribution rate will depend on actual pay and will be between 5.5% and 12.5%.

Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TP)
This is a career average scheme (since 1 April 2015). Pension benefits are currently payable on 1/60th of average pay (for members who joined on or after 1 January 2007) and employee contribution rates are currently between 6.4% and 12.4% of full-time equivalent salary.
The scheme offers a variety of benefits including options to purchase additional pension, protection for your family and alternative retirement options.

All teaching staff are funded to work towards a Certificate in Education validated by The University of Northampton if they are not previously qualified.
