Northampton College has been ranked the number one provider in the country for the Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship, according to the latest national achievement-rate data.
The College tops the latest rankings published by Find a Training Provider, which are based on official 2024/25 achievement-rate figures from the Department for Education.
Northampton College recorded an achievement rate of 86.2 per cent, putting it more than 26 percentage points ahead of the national average of 59.9 per cent. The College also recorded a 100 per cent pass rate, with the figures based on a cohort of 30 apprentices.
The results underline the quality of the training and support provided by Northampton College to people looking to build a career in the electrical industry, as well as the strong links between the College and local employers.

The Level 3 Advanced Electrotechnical – Installation Electrician/Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship is designed for both new entrants and those looking to progress their careers, developing the knowledge, practical skills and behaviours required to work with electrical installation and maintenance systems. The qualification is recognised by the electrotechnical industry as the level at which learners can become qualified electricians.
For those not yet ready to progress to Level 3, Northampton College also offers electrical installation courses at lower levels. Its Level 2 Electrical Installations course provides a solid grounding in the electrotechnical industry and is designed to give prospective electricians the knowledge and practical skills needed to progress towards an apprenticeship.
