We pride ourselves on creating the best university level experience possible at Northampton College.

That's why we have a range of robust internal quality assurance processes in place to ensure transparency, protection and access to high-quality education for students from all backgrounds, and work with national agencies to assure that students studying with us at university level have an experience on a par with other students in the higher education sector.

Office for Students (OfS)

The Office for Students (OfS) is the Government body that aims to assure standards in higher education in the UK, and ensure that students get value for money. Northampton College is registered with the Office for Students, and reviewed as part of its monitoring processes.

In compliance with requirements set by the Office for Students, we set out the following transparency information:

  1. The number of students who attained a particular degree or other academic award, or a particular level of such an award, on completion of their course with Northampton College.
  2. The number of students, in terms of gender, ethnicity and socio-economic background

This information is used to monitor access to post-18 education and give confidence that Northampton College is fair and open in its recruitment.

Higher Education Access and Participation Statement

Northampton College is committed to providing higher education opportunities for students from all backgrounds in order that they can progress to top-up degrees and into employment with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to be successful. Our commitment to all students is outlined in our Access and Participation statement, which is reviewed annually and is available for all prospective and enrolled students to view on our website.

Student Protection Plan

Our Student Protection Plan has been designed to assure all students that the College has appropriate arrangements in place to protect continuation of study at course and college level,  in the event of an internal or external situation impacting on delivery,  detailing the actions we would take and how we would communicate this to students.

Refunds and Compensation

We endeavour to ensure all students are able to continue and complete their studies. However, it is important to explain how the College will refund or compensate students if the College is unable to maintain that continuity of study.
